About Debra Van Essen:
Mission Statement: To practice strong habits of care.
Married for 44 years. Two adult daughters who are married to men who love them and love the Lord. My girls have blessed me with 9 amazing grandchildren.
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. I worked as an RN in ICU for 15 years. In 1995 my husband asked me to come to work for him in his insurance agency. This allowed me to spend more time at home with our two daughters. In 2000 he moved into a Financial Planning career and I became the owner of an insurance agency. I continue to work in my business.
My Cultural Impact Plan has helped me to see that my passion for our society is to make a difference in shaping the culture and society that I occupy. I am involved in city politics by serving on the Planning Commission and Economic Development Committee.
