Carl has worked in the Technology field for over 35 years. He has worked in IT, as a university professor, ran a company doing factory automation systems, and then spent 25 years at Microsoft. There he held numerous product development roles as a Partner Engineering Manager, including responsibility for Microsoft’s web development platform, Azure Communication Services, and leading the Simulation Game Studio (Flight Simulator, Combat Flight Simulator, Train Simulator, …). He was also, in parallel, a manager trainer for the Azure organization and the Diversity & Inclusion Champion for the Windows organization. He has lead hundreds of seminars and workshops on leadership, corporate values & culture, and management effectiveness. As a life-long learner he collects hobbies and degrees and is perpetually halfway through some bible study or book. He currently lives in Spokane with his wife and ten year old twins, who perform in the Wenatchee Youth Circus.
