Harry J. Plack
CPA/PFS, CVA
Harry Plack, managing member of Plack Group, LLC is responsible for business and profitability planning, tax reduction strategy, mergers and acquisitions, business valuation, succession planning, and general business consulting.
Currently, he handles consulting engagements for a variety of closely held businesses. These engagements have provided an extensive background in:
- Profit improvement for business owners
- Reducing tax burdens through advanced tax strategies
- Valuation for merger, banking, and estate tax purposes
- Formation of family limited partnerships
- Assisting companies build infrastructure to scale their enterprise
He is the creator of the One-Life Gameplan, a coaching program for business owners and senior executives of middle-market companies. The One-Life Gameplan is a proprietary that was developed while working with hundreds of owners and executives over nearly 30 years.
He has served on a variety of nonprofit boards including YMCA, Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce, Beachmont, Inc, and FCA Northern Maryland. Plack focuses much of his charitable activities on workplace ministries including CBMC, C12, Truth @ Work, CEO Experience and Pinnacle Forum.
A widely published writer, Harry is an authority on a variety of business issues. He has published over 150 articles in journals and business periodicals, and is a syndicated columnist on business matters. His curriculum has been used by colleges and universities in their entrepreneurship programs. Harry has been interviewed extensively on radio, television, and in the print media on both the local and national scene, sharing his expertise on diverse business topics.
His book, Get Your Life Back, was published in 2020.
He received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Baltimore and earned a master’s degree in Management from Johns Hopkins University.
Harry is a CPA and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. Additional certifications include CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst), and PFS (Personal Financial Specialist).
He is a past president of the Eastern Baltimore Area Chamber of Commerce, and is also an active member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
A resident of Harford County, Harry, with his wife of 30+years, Cathy, have four children, Ashley, Harry III, Emily and Tim — all in their twenties, Tyler their wonderful son-in-law, and Meghan, their awesome daughter-in-law. Also, they enjoy time with their young grandson.
